PROJECT: GIGA

Content: GIGA is a project in which the IMH, Armeria Eskola and Meka operate together to create a platform for cooperating with industrial SMEs. This four-year project is backed by the Department of Education and Industry, on initiative of the Vice-Council for Vocational Training and Euskadi-Innova.

Function:Provide SMEs access to innovation and means for continuous improvement of its core processes, a service that is entirely customer-geared; providing tools, methodologies and training adapted to each reality based on a thorough knowledge of needs and problems.

Aims:

• to experiment, on the partners’ premises, with innovations that can be transferred to companies;
• to develop and implement a service providing technological services in the scope of innovation to SME’s in the industrial sector;
• to design and provide an advanced catalogue in Vocational Training for companies, professionals and teachers;
• to hold seminars to divulge and transmit technology and good practices in technological processes;
• to create a greater offer in Vocational Training in the schools of the network
• to introduce new technologies in a natural way in Curriculum Training based on course contents from Continuing Training
• to develop a new professional profile in the schools of the network which can be called Technical Process Teacher.
