Assessments

Bearing in mind the structure of the courses, each teaching unit contains one or several evaluation activities depending on the scope of the objectives, the unit and the contents to be dealt with. Thus, we will have different types of evaluation activities.
  • Self-evaluation activities and automatic correction: the points and reasons for the correct answers are predetermined, so that the student will have direct access to said explanations, and confront the following types of activities:
    • Test type activities: frequently used to evaluate the knowledge acquired.
    • Concept association activities: applied to verify comprehension of the contents.
    • Fill out text fields activities: used to name parts of elements, assembly sequences, processes, etc.
    • Drag & Drop activities: useful to evaluate knowledge about assembly processes, operational sequences, develop sketches, associate parts, etc.
    • Other activities.
  • Evaluation activities corrected by the teacher: some activities require manual correction by the teacher. To that purpose the student will send work to the teacher through electronic mail. Once it is corrected, the teacher will return to each student the explanation for the correct solution or comment on the errors committed.
There are also other types of group activities, such as for example, work in teams, debates, and knowledge pooling forums, etc.

The students that surpass the individual evaluation activities and have actively taken part in group activities will receive at the end of the course an accredited diploma for achieving the course objective, issued by the Machine Tool Institute. Along the same line, the students that have surpassed the individual evaluation activities, and have not taken part in the group activities, will receive a certificate of assistance to the course.
