I am delighted to welcome you to the IMH – the Machine Tool Institute.

The IMH is a centre for training and technological innovation at the service of industry and the community. We focus on training professionals needed by the machine tool manufacturers and users.

The IMH believes in continuous learning and tackles the roots of knowledge management of students to provide them with a qualification consistent with new technology with the aim to provide capable and innovative human capital to the business world.

From the beginning of our activities in 1991, and during the first decade, we covered an intense stage characterized by hands-on training in all levels of employment in the metal-mechanical sector. As a matter of fact in 1996 we created an Cooperative Engineering School at IMH. In the year 2000 we created our distance learning training program with e-learning techniques. In 2006, and with a new strategic vision, we expanded into four different fields: human services and innovative methodology to train individuals (POPBL), business services, relationship with Administration, and continued internationalisation.

Our vision for 2011, is to become the benchmark  for Mechanical Manufacturing in Europe, focusing on individual development and in step with the competency requirements of businesses.
