Beñat Eizagirre: Teknicalde
He is from Pasai Donibane and student of second year of IMH Cooperative Engineering. He works in Teknicalde, Elgoibar, in the Design department. He studied the advanced Initial Curriculum Training of Industrial equipment maintenance in Don Bosco, Orereta.
Decision
to redirect its formation
After
finishing the initial curriculum training he began to study the
classical engineering. He realized that it was not for him so he left
it and went to work while looking for an alternative. Through
Internet he knew about the IMH Cooperative Engineering, which
combines study with work. He thought it was interesting, he passed
the tests and began studying.
Change of company because of the crisis
-
At the first course of cooperative engineering, he started working in a company from Oiartzun, with the aim of replacing the workshop manager. But the crisis arrived and the company entered into an employment regulation, so he had to give up working. Currently he wokrs in Teknicalde, in the Department of Design.
-
When he had had to change the company, he also has had to change of job profile, as he has moved from maintenance to design. He sees advantages in this need of readapting, an opportunity to meet more than one area, which will enrich his curriculum.
-
He is developing the PAMS (modeling project of the 2nd year) in Ulma Packaging together with two other class mates. He is happy, knowing other worlds, companies and different positions.
Advantages: He thinks that knowing the work environment provides further skill's training, and also in the case of Beñat who has been in contact with three companies, even more. He thinks that working and studying are very different from each other and in the cooperative system you must know how to combine them. If you also have a hobby such as sport, then it gets complicated. So it is necessary to take up all issues day by day. He says that as its first chief said "to become an engineer you must first work in a company."
